Until Friday night i realized the importance of new tires, it was ranning pretty bad, i was hydroplanning like crazy, i was really scared, and i was on my way to Casa Grandes from phoenix, its like a 45 minute drive, on the highway, i was going like 55 the whole way, well was wondering what would be the best tire without tearing up my wallet, i got 17's(im not getting 20's no more)

I am really happy with the BF Goodrich Traction T/As on my car now. Got them for a great deal of $89 a tire from Sam's Club, order online tires arrive in store in 5-7 days, a small fee for mounting/balancing. Total ran me about $380 for four tires and all fees.

I am in the same dilema (running with no threads), and also leaning towards the KDW`s but I was thinking about changing tire size, I am running on chromed torque stars but I would like to go to 245/50/16 anyone running that size? results? advice?

I think that's the limit for the torque stars.

I'm running toyo spectrum with Bonnie rims 16x7 1/2" 245 50 great traction ,I previously had comp.t/a's on GP rims nfg for traction it's the narrow 16x6 1/2" that make going to a wider than stock tire useless .

I have Aquatred 3s. Excellent traction, futuristic look but they are LOUD!!!!!

Made of very hard rubber but rain is never an issue. Not bad in snow either.
I was going to get Triple tread for the van. Found out through Tirerack.com that they are the #1 user rated but road noise is up there.

Recommend going to Tirerack.com and reading the user reviews. The ones regarding the low rated ones are hilarious.

Good year Assurance Triple Treads..... not a bad price, and they are excellent in all weather conditions. Not the best performance tire, but a great all around tire even for an agressive driver.

Hey Blown Gp...Im a tire tech at the Sams Club here in Macon..and personally I recommend the BFG G-Force KDWS..all season tire with some serious cornering ability and NO problems with wet weather traction..prolly run you back about 100-110 per tire..

Yeah those are the ones I`m looking at (I have a costco membership) the 245/50/16 will run me about 123 installed, I have to do it soon because my tires are getting pretty bad, this morning comming to work I raced this 2000-200? stang and almost lost my grip going 90 eek , still spanked the stang hammer which by the way, that was the loudest stang I have ever raced
