That's my point if you still have to insert the key then why the extra step to start?
Now some of these new cars that have the proximity key to unlock, prime the ignition and such and have the "start" button now were talkin.
I had a rental in Italy that you inserted the funky shaped fob into a slot and you push the start button. The odd part was you had to push the "start" button to turn the motor off. I scratched my head on that one. It musta been designed by the same folks who did Windows. Since to shut down you have to press "start" LOL.
