I think you will need to run a 30 amp fuse.
the MAIN red wire coming IN to the ignition switch is protected by a 40 amp fuse. but that also takes care of all the accessories that run off the Orange accessory wire.
you do not absolutely NEED a fuse, BUT should something go wrong, a fuse is much cheaper than replacing melted wires.
and Hercman is right, any momentary switch will work, but what is a momentary switch? It is a switch that you have to HOLD in the on position, once you let off, the switch stays in the "OFF" position.
it is important to know that because I have seen switches at radio shack that are always "on" until you hold it in the "off" position. and you probably do not want your starter spinning constantly unless you are pushing down on a button.... lol
