This code is popping up because I don't have a rear O2 right? I think John might have just forgotten to tell the PCM not to recognize this code when he was reflashing it.

P1133 Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) insufficient switching bank 1 sensor 1 (Rear Bank)

Yep you either need to have the code deleted or get an O2 sim.

Alright, that's what I thought. Just needed the extra peace of mind from people that know what they're doing.

I'll see if HACGP would be so kind as to reflash the PCM and take that code out.

I think Bank 1 Sensor 1 is the front sensor.
Bank 1 Sensor 2 would be a code for the rear sensor.

Their both on the same Bank, but the sensors are numbered.
Bank 1 Sensor 1
Bank 1 Sensor 2

H02S stands for "Heated Oxygen Sensor"

I dunno, the O2 codes are confusing .. I went and looked up the sister code to P1133, it's P1153 Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) insufficient switching bank 2 sensor 1 (Front Bank).

I was planning to do spark plugs anyway, it couldn't hurt to replace the front O2 while I (or someone else ) is in there.

But on that note, is it okay for me to be driving around with that code?

Bank 1 sensor 1 is the front nearest the engine. I just replaced it 3 days ago.

Yeah the 02 isn't hard, you will need the special socket though ... might as well do it... your fuel economy will go up as well

Well .. The SES went off and hasn't come back on. One of the HACGP guys said he had the same code after putting his DP in and it went away after a few days and hasn't done anything since.

I was gonna change plugs sometime soon, so I guess I'll go ahead and change the O2 anyway, especially since John showed me a place to get a pretty good deal. Like 63 bucks to my door.

Wish I new about that deal! I need a deal on an EGR now.
