Well I think I've found the best exhaust sound possible for my setup,I know everyone on this board thinks FM's have a good sound but let me tell you if you are catless they sound pretty ricey,as fo my new setup I have a heavily ported rear mnfld. and a custom built shorty header to match the runner length on the rear,a 3" DP with no cat in it's place is where I use a flex pipe from there back is a custom 2 1/2" stainless pipe to a summit 24" Glass pack for a res. then a true y to 2 magnaflows ,the sound is sweet, now I'm not saying FM's can't have a good sound on a stock system but in my case they sounded like ass.Chico.

I love FMs, but like you are saying it all depends your car's setup. The way it is setup changes the sound dramatically. Glad you like your magnaflows. thumbsup

my hi flow cat made a big difference in sound...I think getting the right set up on any six is a tough call to keep it from sounding cheap and buzzy...there would be no way I could go cat-less here in VA cuz it would never pass inspection...and shops wont look the other way for fear of losing their inspection license.

Yeah, I have heard some horror stories about VA. Missouri is the first state I have ever lived in with vehicle inspections, and I am sure it won't be the last. I know they tried to pass that law in OH, but it was turned down real quick.

They sound better at WOT.

Keep us informed on the set up Chico!
