Has anyone ever figuered out what the scale is on the coolant guage. The three numbers they do post and all the lines I can't make out the scale to what those lines would represent temp wise anyone able to disipher it?

I always did, but now with a gauge I don't bother. I just like to see it below that middle line.

Each line represents 4.166667 degrees.
The middle of 160-210 is 185.
You have 5 lines but you have 6 gaps between
160-185, therefore its not 5 degrees its 4.167

But if you have this gauge then it is 5 degrees up to 100*c:

How do you figure? That only works from 40-100. After the 100 it doesn't work.

Their is 45* of sweep of the needle going from 40* to 100* and another 45* of sweep from 100* to 125*. Their is no way that they can be in equal increments.

I didn't calculate above 100*.
Figure you got issues if it goes up there.

After doing conversions, it looks like there isn't a formula for the lines.
And R.S. I don't understand what you mean 45* of sweep on both.

40c=104f
100c=212f
125c=257f

So in that picture it is 185*F
