So I have a feeling my tranny is going to be toast kinda soon. Its slipping horrible in first gear, the shift to second and sometimes third is quite hard, and i mentioned in a previous topic i believe the mounts are shot or something cause when i give it hard throttle for a few seconds the let go the whole engine area shakes as if its loose.

Now when i got the car in Oct / 08 it came with a 1 year Powertrain Warranty (Engine / Transmission / Seals / Gaskets) I was thinking of calling them soon and saying basically what i just said here and asking what they can do. Should they give me a new transmission or what do you think should happen in this situation!?

Definately sounds like you've got issues. Unfortunately if you're going to make a warrenty claim on it they'll decide if you get a rebuilt or new tranny.

What would I do? I'd take it in and say fix it. No matter how they go about doing it as long as the problem is fixed.

I was talking to a local friend who has a GT and recently top-swapped it .. regardless he got his tranny rebuilt and got the shift kit from a local store .. i think rebuilding it and putting in the 90$ kit would be beneficial. Hopefully they don't be stupid about it..

Could this stuttering NOT be my transmission and be my CAT ? I'm not sure if it was replaced under the recall thing the GM had with 2001-2002 GP's .. any thoughts ?

It could be your cat. Back in 2005, I thought I was having tranny issues and so I was told that it might need to have the tranny fluid flush and filled and so I flush the old tranny fluid and that actually gave me my tranny problems. All along it was my cat that gave me issues and it was replaced under warranty from the dealership along witht the 02 sensor for the cat.

I would say see if its your engine/tranny mounts are shot before you do any thing to the tranny itself. Then if the problem is still there then take it to the warranty place and they should just replaced the tranny with a new one. This mechanic told me back in 2005 that a tranny with more than 150,000 miles are not pretty in the inside because of all the mileage and said rebuilding the tranny after 150,000 miles is not a good idea. I don't know if thats true or not.

Well ... i have 119000 KM's on the engine / tranny itself .. i have heard that flushing it can make problems arise, which could be more reason to get a new one under warranty. Thankfully my mom has a mechanic that practically replaced 80% of the parts in her previous car and said he can have a look and scan my stuff for $20 opposed to $70 at the other place.

I'll get this all done by the end of this week before i make my trip stateside to meet w/ Boosten =)
