Ok, I have gotten a check engine light 3 times over the last week and a half. It is a 128 and according to the book this is due to the engine coolent tempature being to low. Have you heard of this? I did have the radiator flushed and new hoses this summer, but could it make it too cold. It is running just above 160 so it is no where near the 180-190 mark. What do you guys think.

The thermostat is probably stuck open; I would replace it, disconnect the battery for 10 minutes to clear the code, and drive it for at least two trips to make sure the SES light stays out.

Do you have an aftermarket thermostat in there now? I have a 180* and used to set that code once in a while until I just deleted the code.

Well I got it changed out today. Not too big of a deal. I let it run for about 20 minutes it got up to about 190 and stayed there. Drove it around the neighborhood for about 10 minutes. Ran good. I got home and it looks like the overflow spilled over a bit. Is that because of the pressure? I opened up that little nut on top of the inlet and let some out after it ran for the first 20 minuted. Some fluid came out and I put it back. any thoughts?

A little excess fluid is all.
