I want to make my gp sound louder, but i dont want to spend alot of money, i hear if u just put in a few holes in the muffler it makes it louder? I plan to cut the exhaust tip off and weld on a new tip and 1 of those crome boom tips maybe. good idea or no?

X2 to the EXTREME!!! ...who do you here these things from? It will sound so crappy if you did that, and everyone at school will make fun of your car. Also with a stock muffler a tip won't make a difference in sound. It will look a little better but thats it.

if you do poke holes in the muff it will make it louder. It wont be the sound your looking for unless you want your car to sound like it has bad muffs...cuz that will be the problem. You'll be ruining good muffs.

Please don't poke holes in the muffler, you'll ruin your muffler bearing ! wink

Muffler bearing is classic! Also those exaughst fumes will stay under the car and could leak into the cab and then you have a chance at getting C02 poisoning. My fiences car did that, had some holes rusted through it and the bottom of the car was just thick black exaughsted caked on, and when she would come home she complained of light headedness and stuff like that, we got it fixed and no more headaches!
