What I've heard about the 114.3 spacing is that the lug nuts don't make full contact with the wheel. So you have a lot more pressure on a smaller surface area. This may lead to cracking or lugnuts backing off.

The best bet is to use a proper torque pattern and torque to spec to ensure everything is good.

I have 114.3 on my car, but only for 6 months so far.

That's why you use lugnuts that have a conical shape to them. Helps center the wheel on the studs and provide even pressure to all the components.

By the way when you convert the 114.3 and 115 into inches (remember they are less then on mm apart some wheels will have tighter tolerances some will be sloppier) but 115mm = 4.531 inches 114.3= 4.503 inches.

While 5x115 is the correct bolt pattern thousands of members have been running them since the 90s. In my opinion just as many members have had issues with every style and pattern of wheel and relates more to torque issues and hubcentric rings (lack of). I have only had one set of wheels in the last 8+ years that wasn't 5x114.3 and absolutely no problems. Make sure you also get the proper lugs for the wheels and rings if the center bore isn't stock size 70.3. My current setup is 5x114.3 with +35 offset 18x8.5 with 245/45-18 and lowered on Progress springs with Koni adjustables.
