Recently, I have noticed some oil building up around the intake/valve cover area. I had the upper intake changed at 75,000 and am at 112,000 miles now. I switched to 5w-30 conv oil for winter. Today, it was about 1/3 of a qt low after 500 or so miles, but does not leak anything on the garage floor. Do I need to get this fixed asap or if i keep topping it off will i be ok through the winter.

Has anyone had this done for them recently?

thanks,

I cant remember what I paid, but I know it was significantly less than 1400 CDN. I bought the UIM, LIM gaskets, inj o-rings, and a HV3 insert, then spent the better part of a day and a half installing it with 3 ppl helping (thanks Ace, Slick, and Arc!). I cant remember what the title of thread is that I posted my LIM gasket rplcmt on, but it's out there. A few others have posted their rplcmt as well. Not hard to do at all.

You can do just the LIM gaskets for pretty cheap but you may want to do what a lot of us here did and replace a lot of other things while you're in there.
