Clint,
Did you ever get around to doing this?

Yes, thanks for reminding me......
Difficulty of installation on a scale of 1-10... I would rate it a 4 with 10 being the hardest.
We installed an after market kit in a Leather Passenger seat. The seat rocked right out after removing 2 T-50 Torx bolts from the rear. This made manipulating the heater pads in much easier.
Once the seat is out, it's pretty self explanitory as far as removing the cover from underneath. The Back cover is a bit more difficult as the seam is right at the base where the seat back meets the seat base. The seam is made up of a full length tab that inserts into a full length slot. Sorry I don't know how else to explain it.
Once the kit was installed in the seat, we located a power source and wired in a new switch right next to the factory drivers switch. That little panel pops right out. You may want to dismantle the console to make routing wires a bit easier. Dismantling is done by popping the appropriate tabs out of their slots, there is no screws holding it together.
We didn't need to do the drivers seat, but I would think the main difference would be weight, and existing wire connectors if you've got the power seat. If you don't have a power seat, it should be the same.
I didn't do this project by myself.... I was most interested in how the cover comes off the seat, beyond that, I'm familiar with the other aspects.
I hope this is the information you were looking for.
