guys I was just curious I noticed everyone or not everyone runs Autolite plugs in their cars because they run colder then stock. Well I noticed somthing else. They are extremely cheap. I mean I run AC delco plat. somthing or another which were close to 10 bucks each in my car at the moment. Are those auto lites better then the NGK 9 or 10 dollar plugs as well?
Colder autolite plugs are good in applications where you're modded. I'm running AL104's...I believe those are 2 heat ranges colder than stock. That's due to the smaller pulley and cam. For you, just go with Autolite 605's or 606's. They are pretty much stock replacement and are like $1.59 apiece.
To my understanding, colder plugs dissipate the heat faster than say a stock plug. This helps reduce KR in modded applications. Going too cold will cause plugs to foul up and/or fuel not being burned all the way.
colder plugs means they remove the heat from the tip of the plug itself, so that they dont melt down under high combustion pressures/temps. They do not in any way cool down the combustion chamber its self.
