i lately have been smelling oil after i shut my car off its a faint smell but i dont have any laks and my engine bay is oil free its really clean but i can always smell it and its annoyign me.... my engine is running perfect and doesnt miss a beat so im jsut confused nothing is ever left on the ground after my cars been running

I didn't get a code when mine was leaking. Mine was a very small leak though. I just know it is fairly close to the belt. I was thinking it might throw it onto the exhaust. Although it sit away from the belt itself. Just a thought...

My friend had the same problem on his 40th ann, and it was his valve cover gasket. Once he replaced them, he had no more problems with smelling oil.

front one? There is a recall on the front valve cover gaskets.

Yep. GTP's got the recall. GT's have the same style VC and gaskets but dont get any help crazy

well its leaking around the intake.....like the area between the altenator and the ingnition its just full of fry oil i must of missed it when i clean my engine....but the valve cover gasket cant be 2 hard to do
