Do you think I should get a powerlog/mainfold for my 3.4 set-up? Is it worth the price-tag? Get front and rear? Let me here was you guys think about it. Any suggestions or comments? Thanks!

Here were 2 options I was looking at:

$271.99
Power Log & Ported Manifold
Core charge:Front power log only -no core
Option 1:304 stainless powerlog only
Option 2:Ceramic coating for powerlog
Option 3:Felpro exhaust manifold gaskets

OR

$466.99
Power Log & Ported Manifold
Core charge:Front power log only -no core
Option 1:304 powerlog & rear manifold
Option 2:Ceramic coating front & rear
Option 3:Felpro exhaust manifold gaskets

Or Option 3... Pacesetters

Dont bother with exhaust manifold gaskets. the stockers are metal and reusable,

Just saw I put this in the wrong section....

...but i'm already getting the ZZP Downpipe, the pacesetters already have a DP, correct.

What's the big advantage/disadvantage between PLOG and Pacesetters?

There's much better quality out there then pacesetters. If your gonna go headers get something better. Yes Pacesetters can be "massaged" but unless you have access to a welder your better off not having the headaches.

As for stainless vs nonstainless. Do they salt the roads in your neck of the woods? If so get the stainless.

ceramic coating is a looks thing not much is saved in underhood heat. If your worried about underhood heat header wrap is a much better option.

Obviously, i'm not looking to get a real HP gain from them but I was/am worried about KR. I don't know too much about tuning, thus i'm having someone do it for me. I'm just wandering if it's worth the money to get these.

Of course there is better quality. If money wasnt an object, then he wouldnt have put it in the post. Yes, 20 minutes of welding vs. the hundreds of dollars more youre gonna pay for something else makes sense. Even if you dont have access to a welder, go to an exhaust shop and pay them 20 bucks to weld it. or buy a friend a case of beer to do it.

Do you know of anyone that has had any issues that has welded the headers?

Nope my friend has PS Headers on his GTP. He had them welded and they run great, he wrapped them too.

My point exactly. Mine are welded, along with a local guy. Neither of us have had one issue sense we welded them. And i can take the entire piece out of there if i want to.

That's what I hate about pace setters. You have to weld them to keep them from leaking.

for the money you're spending on the plog, you might as well get headers. you can sell the zzp dp easily.

Isn't there a bit of loss of torque if you get headers? Isn't the Plog suppose to fix that?

If youre NA. Pacesetters have giant primaries, so using them NA is a bad idea. I wouldnt worry too much about torque loss with a bolt on supercharged car

Its not like you cant take them off whenever you want to. Just unbolt the flange and they can be taken right out, welded or not.

S&S headers have smaller primaries and are better suited for NA applications.
