Im really considering another GTP, but i cant find one for the price i want, has to be an 04 or 05. nothin newer or older. THat impala had me wanting it so bad, but 15g's is a little much.

Too bad you werent closer to here. there is an 05 Comp G with a 3.4 and everything needed for it going for $13,500 with only 47k on the clock.

found an 04 comp g, 35k on the clock for 12 grand. looking at it tomorrow. wont be able to buy till i sell the blazer and get a job tho.

they make you sign insurance wavers and stuff. but this was a bunch of different dealerships i went to. and the guy that road in the impala with me told me to do it, it showed me right where TC button was to turn it off, and said drive it like youd own it. and the G8, the guy said lets see how many balls this car has and told me to keep goin. no salesmen road with us in the G35.

It is very retarded on a salesmen to tell you to do that, but what chance would you ever get to drive a G8 like that? never lol, unless i droped the 40k for the car lol, but overall it was a nice confortable ride, id buy it if i had the money. im sure the salesmen would too haha.

When I bought my GTP the salesman was egging us on to "open" it up on the street where the limit was 45 we were north of 80. So I guess the tactic works

I'm holding off till the wife gets her national MA cert and starts making some coin and we move to our next town either Jacksonville FL or Fort Worth TX (lookin more and more like TX)then I'll start shopping hard for another. That G8 sure calls my name but so does the Avalanche and the new Jeep Unlimited (four door)Rubicon. GTP is staying and will become the project and not driven as much and the truck will stay for my beater/tow vehicle.

id take the avalanche Herc because i dont think you would want to have TWO weekend warriors..haha you would never be able to decide what to drive...lol

G8 would be the DD. And more then likely it would be the V6. Esp if it gets the 3.6DI. Plenty of oomph. I'm looking for room and comfort. I know the Jeep doesn't quite fit that but I've been itchen for one since I bought the GP.

Me and my friends ALWAYS go there and put some of these higher end cars to the limits. sometimes the salesman goes along because they are bored. For example we went to the Carmax in Kenosha a couple days ago and we went and test drove a couple IS300's a PT Cruiser Turbo and a Grand Prix GXP. The Salesman was like you guys are bored arent you? We were like hell ya! lol he was like well so am i, wanna take some nice cars for a spin? HAHA we were like, .....SURE...! so we took those cars out and he just told us to go! lmao

The poncho dealer nearest me has a few G8's, had 2 GT's when they first came out. Price wasnt bad either. somewhere to the tune of $23k fully loaded out the door and down the road. I was like MAN, I was gonna buy one but then some chick at work started telling the manager me and my Pops were talking smack about him. lost everybidt of $2500 a month. I miss truckin for Home Cheapo.....

23k out the door for a GT? NO WAY, sorry but the one i drove they were asking 33k for it USED. it had 9k miles on it. and it was fully loaded.

GM's pricing is $29k for a GT. Anything else is pure markup for either profit or stupid addons.

The G8 I looked at was the one withe most test drives, something like 175 miles on it, probably more now. I didnt drive it I just wanted to oogle.

I've heard reports of dealer markup over msrp north of 6k.

That's what will kill initial sales gready dealerships. I blame that the most for the low demand of the GTO dealer markups were crazy for a bland styled car that was no bigger then the stang which was priced much much lower.


With GM employee pricing and incentives you can get a GT for roughly 26k and the V6 for 23k.
