I get into the market of buying a car 1-2 years before I actually buy. So by the time this one's paid for I can roll into another car without much of a hit to the wallet.

I built one on Pontiac yesterday, however, I didn't get a price. Do you have to send in for a price quote? I didn't feel like fillig out all the info for just that.

Just for the record, Pontiac is advertising it as the "most powerful car starting under 30k"

$27,595 for V6, $29,995 for the V8.

Obviously, those are for no options, but that's what it says.

I just might have to trade in the GP.

Things are getting a little desperate are they not?

I guess I'll reserve judgement for when I see one up close at NYC this year.

After reading and watching the video on that link Herc, i'm starting to like the G8. Def has the performance and exterior style, but I personally don't care for the interior. I'll wait a couple years til they work out some flaws.

Man, every review that comes out for that G8 it sounds better and better...I want one... frown

Just wait until the one with the Z06 engine comes out. laugh

But 4100 pounds? That's 200-300 pounds more than it was supposed to be! Man, if only Pontiac could have kept the weight down on the GTO and G8, those cars would have been hellishly fast!!! WAY to heavy...

Hey, this is interesting: According to Wikipedia, the G8 GT has the same tranny as a number of very powerful cars.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TR-6060

No wonder it kept up with the more powerful Charger. laugh
