Be sure to sand any metal parts down real well.
For plastic stuff, give it a good clean with soap and water and let it dry.

i think that i am painting the dogbone mounts, im not really sure, it's those things in the front that keep the engine from coming forward, somebody said that they rotated those 90*??? how would you do that???

you don't rotate the actual dogbone, you rotate the rubber piece it's bolted into 90*
it just keeps your engine from rocking around near as much at WOT

i feel the awesomness of rotated dogbone mounts every time the car shifts.
Shifting feels almost instantaneous now.

I'm all for poly mounts but expect some ugly noise!

Noise? From poly mounts? How so? Slick's car has polys and the only ugly noise I hear on that car is the exhaust.

I'm sure the CSC and its driveshaft being right there make it worse, but solid mounts allow engine vibration/noise to transmit right into the body of the car. Mine also have some creeking sometimes.

Ah, I wondered if maybe your CSC would have contributed any, but I am unfamiliar with it, so had to ask. That's actually kinda interesting .. I wonder if any other CSC guys have polys and noise. My car creaks .. my old one did, too. That could be lots of things, but I can ignore that easily. My Super40s and the Bose system can take care of any little obnoxious noises.

Yeah. Its not horrible. I may replace the bearings in the shaft (4 of them) to see if that makes it any smoother). The creaking was definetly coming from the poly mounts. After I put washer spacers on both sides of them it almost never happens now.

no noise here...but im sure every car reacts different, depending on the condition of the lower mounts and the tranny mount

my lower mount is shot and so my car rattles pretty good with the rotated dogbone mounts
Now I wonder why I didn't change it when the motor was out of the car
