If there's a fire in my truck and I get out alright, I wouldn't consider it a heart-breaking event.

Besides, if anything goes wrong in that truck, it's going to be my drive shaft falling out since I'm ignoring rattling noise that it's making.

my dad ignored a terribly loud rattling in our old van. One day while he was driving it, the driveshaft fell out at a light. Luckily it happened across the street from a shop.

I've had that happen to me in a Tahoe. I put the driveshaft in the back, put it into 4WD, and drove home.

The only problem with my truck is that it's 2WD.
