ya know whats cool? My Recruiter Diploma was signed on 29 FEB 08. How often does leap year happen? How often does one graduate on leap year? that is so geeky-cool, I just dont know what to do with myself! whoo-hoo!

Yeah, It makes NO since to me!!! I mean we dont do it and the only thing is the sun sets and rises an hour earlier/later, no big deal, just have to turn on the lights earlier.

I was reading an article on why AZ is pretty much the only non daylight savings state (other parts of states dont) and they said it was because when we tried it, our energy costs skyrocketed for electrical uses and water uses.

That's why daylight savings changed in '07 to cut out two months. DOE is seeing if reducing the time spent in it, we can save energy (and probably can) by it being light more often in the afternoon.

Daylight savings was originally meant for farmers so they could get more work done earlier in the day, from what I understand. Since we're not longer a nation of farmers, it serves little practical purpose.
