Welcome. Good buncha peeps here. And beware that guy 2Fast4U: he's nothing more than a carrier of the mod bug.

I'm sorry it says scanner but i'm assuming that they mean the computer programmers... For tuners you can get HP Tuner or DHP Powertuner. HP Tuner costs more but has a more visual interface. DHP is cheaper and has a better online support (mainly a forum like this). Those are the differences as I know them. There are no "cheap" tuners. Even the used ones are in demand and sell for almost as much as a new one. If you want a scanner, there are many types of those. Probably the coolest is the aeroforce scan gauge though. Here it is: http://www.pfyc.com/pc/GN2110/GPGAU/AeroForce+Tech+Interceptor+Scan+Gauges.html Scanners just "scan" different parameters from your PCM. A tuner will scan, but it will also reprogram your PCM for you which makes it that much more powerful. For more "newbie" info and a good list of vendors to check out, look at Hercman's sig line.

Welcome to the site. Guess you can add my daughter to the population of female GP/GTP enthusiasts. She has mine while I'm working in Bahrain and has already told me that I'm not getting it back, especially since she founf the seat warmer, lol. Perfect reason to get an 08 Challenger.

So sorry to hear that Krickett. I guess you should start looking for "TypeR" stickers and lots of chrome parts to "mod" your car.

ROTFL. well for now i'm stuck with what is given to me. Since my mate impregnated me and is the one setting up the car deal.. poor thing he's just as dissapointed as i am if not more so because he feels bad because i was so excited! we were getting a stellar deal on a damn near brand new 05. only 27,000 miles on it! but i will have a race car again. No worries there ;P in fact im thinking about saving up a few paychecks for a mach1 hehehhe ;P i'm sure i'll stick around just for fun tho!

Mach1? Better watch throwing around products made by the four letter word. Some of these guys might hang you.

Bah I'm not one of those who is all hung up on brands. I love racing for racing and can appreciate a badass racecar for what it is and the work behind it. not who it was made by. Hang me if you will but no-one can deny that the classics kicked ass!

Lol! It's from the movie Accepted. One guy is talking about how he got fired from 7/11, and someone asks him why. He says 'for making a shrimp slushie'. "Why?" "Because I was hungry and thirsty!" It's funnier when you see it, 'cause the guy is a total goober.
