alright, so decided to do a remote start on my grandparents 06 impala w/ 3.5 v6. so0o, i figured someone on here would have some idea. we got everything installed and working, doors look, doors unlock, trunk opens, remote start works, but when you try to start the car with the key, nothing. not even accessories. you can start the car with the remote start, put the key in and drive away but thats it. unplugged everything to do with the remote start and since there was only one wire you had to splice we ran gator clips and connected it back together so everything is back to stock, still nothing. key won't turn on accessories or turn the car over. and this is with the remote start completely gone, everything back to the way we got it. any ideas? only thing we can think of is its some sort of anti-theft. we called someone who does these and hes never seen this before, but hes never done this car specifically before so yeah. what can you all come up with? open to any suggestions, been searching the net all day and am stumped.

Perhaps a blown fuse?

Does it have Onstar? I know you have to wire those cars differently don't you?

It does have onstar. we somehow got it working, just started testing wires under the dash and put it back together and it works...no idea how, but it is.

So its all working with the remote? or just with the key? or both working like they should now?

My guess would have been an issue with Onstar as well.

both working. Idk how, but we connected it all back up and now its working. baby jesus was on our side lol. or was it chuck norris? definitely chuck...
