That makes me think of this stash. It was located 2 blocks from where I grew up. My Grandpa used to tell me the place was full of Corvettes, but I didn't believe him. It was a John Deere dealership/repair shop. I figured it was another Grandpa story. He told me that 25 years ago. Way before I joined the Military and he passed. Imagine my surprise when I saw this in the news in 2005.

Now a lot of it is going to auction.

I love cars, but that is almost like having a house for you and your wife that is 10,000 sqft, useless. They just sit there. It may be cool to rave about it, but I just can't see having that many. I might have a different mind set if I was Leno or someone with tons of $$$ around, but man that is just crazy.

The LS6 option was just the Conservitively rated 450 HP 500 lb ft TQ 454ci motor. You could get it with a TH400 auto or Muncie M-22 4 speed. Some were convertibles, some had stripes, some not, it depended how it was ordered. If my memory serves me right, the rarest documented LS6 car was a 4 speed bench seat convertible car. Two made.

My dream LS6 is red w/ black racing stripes and the 454 and the M-22, I've been searching high and low the last 6yrs of my life for an orginal restorable 70 SS, something about those dual headlights and square tails that makes my heart explode into little hot rods!

and BTW 4drgt, I totally agree Trailers are for boats, even those my T/A has low miles for an 82, when its all said done it will have close to 200k for all I care, I wanted a muscle car to drive not to look at

Man, that's awesome collection but that's too much for cars sitting all day. I'm sure it will sell when man died. I don't know why he brought many same model. He could just get 2 same models than like 10 same model.

I remember the model car "the heavy chevy" 70 ss chevelle you could make it a classic, drag car ..ect, I do love the look of the 70 chevelle ss and wouldn't turn it down if someone gave me one, the when i was a young boy...lol, i was on a "pit crew" for a guy i knew at cedarlake speedway, a dirt track in east WI..amyways the guy that owned the race car ended up selling his chevelle to the at that time driver of the race car, few years go by, lost touch with both of them, go to the World of wheels at the excell center, see the driver of said race car sitting next to a 67, 427 4 speed bench seat chevelle, i said where did you get this car?, he said said owner of race car..this is what he had under the tarp all thoes years...fully restored, down to the speckled trunk jawdrop
I couldent belive my eyes!
