dont think Im tryin flame, because Im not. All in all, very nice, classy pics.

1) all that stuff right behind the car, eh. Makes the shot look too cluttered. Almost like your car is homeless and about to sleep on that park bench. And there's a tree growing out of your car.

2) I dont know why, but I really like that shot. I think it's because the bushes behind the car keep the trees from growing out of your car like in #1. Bummer is the glare from your corner.

3) aside from the tree growing out of the center of your car, I cant say enough good things about that shot. Almost as timeless as the one submission that Bobby approved.

4) very clean, uncluttered. The backdrop, just like #2, is enough so that you cant see through the windows. I likey. Alot. Bummer the pillar is growing out of the car.

5) Aside from the pillar and shrubbery behind the car FREAKIN NICE!!! I love the feel of the car in that shot. Like it's about to launch into intercept or something. Aggressive, but calmly so.

6) Aside from the background allowing a view through the car and the glare on the corner, I have nothing bad AT ALL to say about the shot. Well set, well planned, well shot.

7) corner glare. My wife says it looks "too cold, too industrial. There seems to be no emotion behind the shot", I disagree. Another timeless shot. Corner glare. I say wash and detail the car, wait till sunrise or sunset and use that shot.

I am overall not impressed dut to the rims that you've got, but you more than make up for it with the artistry of the shots. Very well done.

Go to the mall and look at all the car, truck & motorcycle calenders. You will see a few things in common.
1. Almost all pictures are on some sort of pavement or road. Vehicles just don't look right on grass or dirt, unless it is a dirt road.
2. The backgrounds are always busy. What I mean is there is lots of stuff, colors & texture. Don't take a picture of a black car on blacktop, or a white car on pavement by a lt colored building etc.

Here are some photo taking tips.

1. Look for things in the frame that distract from the car. Is there a telephone pole growing out of the roof? Is there an object in the background that draws your eye away from the subject? Patrol the area you are shooting for debris, such as trash, leaves, or sticks.
2. Avoid the temptation to just take the picture from eye level. Try shooting up at a low angle, which will exaggerate the proportions a bit, and make your car seem more impressive. Another trick is to use a step ladder and shoot down on the car, giving a sort of bird's eye view.
3. The use of a wide angle lens gives the best shots. The area closest to the camera will seem larger than normal, while the area furthest from the camera will seem farther away. This technique can really make the car jump out of the frame.
4. Buy a polarizer lens if your camera permits. A polarizer eliminates glare and reflections and can improve contrast. Your car, with all its chrome, glass, and shiny paint, is like a magnet for reflections.
5. Shoot just after sunrise, just before sunset, or even at night by neon lights, gas station lights or even lighted signs. Just be sure to use a tripod.
6. Try turning the parking lights on, maybe even the headlights if it's just before dusk, just to add a little drama to your photos.

Check out this site. It has 1000s of professionally shot automobile pictures. It may give you some ideas. Almost all the pictures follow my tips above. Some don't and pull it off, but these are professionals.

Funny. None of my Humvees or Deuce-and-a-halves, 5 tons, or semis EVER had tinted windows. Guess my unit wanted the stripper models instead of the SS version, or something...

IMO i would take the bra off of the car for the pictures and park your car parallel to the lake. It would look so much better that way.

I pick the first pic because of the awesome lookin belt line.

the second one because of the power of the pic. Love that shot.

Here's some hints and tips from Popular Hot Rodding Magazine concerning how to take great pics of your car .

yvw. I subscribe to the mag and read the paper version (you think the digital photos are inspirational? Try seeing them on glossy...). I had just remembered about that above article.

pretty hard to get those dead wide open spaces mentioned in the article...not to contradict a professional but I've seen plenty of car pics in an urban setting that I thought looked hot...cars are creatures of the city pavement as well as the wide open road.
