Five teenagers, ages 14-17, were going down the highway over 100MPH, topped a hill, lost control, went off the road and hit a tree.
The only one to survive was the driver. A 16 year old female wearing her seatbelt. (She only had a few scratches) Three were thrown from the car and their funerals were Thursday, today and tomorrow. The other one is in critical condition.

A terrible thing for the driver to have to live with the rest of her life.
Funny thing is, when you hear about teens getting in bad crashes, they're NEVER wearing seatbelts. Most of my friends in HS all wore seatbelts while driving/riding in a car.

Lately I've had to get on my girlfriend and one of her friends to wear a seatbelt. It got to a point where I wouln'dt take them/wouldn't go with them if they didn't buckle up. My girlfriend learned real quick to buckle up laugh her friend, on the other hand, is a different story. She hasn't been in my car for like 2 months because of that.

Ha ha here in Maine under 18 you can only have your siblings in the car. No friends. But they still break the rules.

If I'm driving, everyone in the front seat must wear seatbelts or the car doesn't move.
My mother-in-law has had a hard time with that one in the past, but she's learning.

You guys have some odd family/friends.

In my almost 9 years of driving I have yet to have a friend or family member enter my vehicle and not buckle up on their own.
