It all depends on the 28 year if he/she is mature enough to handle a 43 year old. Me personally I would say no for the simple fact that I feel they would be on two different pages. Never will be in the same mind frame!

Pictures are necessary to make a conclusion.

Its for my cousin Mike, he is 43 yrs old but
looks 34 he still has a full head of hair
no gray and hes not over-weigh. 6ft.
A female friend of his knew a woman at her
church. She is 28 and blonde. It was going
to be a blind date. When she found out he was
43, she backed out. She thought that was too big of an age difference. Should he wait a few weeks and then drop by her church or should he just forget the whole thing??? They have never met.

No pics. The guy needs advice.

He drives a 2009 Acura TSX 4 banger. yuck....

Never met her and she backed out because of age. He should give up on her.

Obviously the age thing was too much for her. So, I think that seals the deal. Age is one of those things you can be prejudice against before you meet someone. Meeting someone and knowing who they are changes the whole perspective on age. If they like you for who you are, age doesn't matter. She was more into aesthetics I think.

I know a 23y/o woman who talks to a 40~ guy and is rather fond of him. I've known two women that are about an 8 year age difference on me, and I like them a lot. Age doesn't matter as much as whether they truly care for one another. But that's an issue with people of the same age as well... so the story goes. :p

That ain't nothing.
This friend of my sisters is 22-23ish and she was dating, still friends, a man in his say late 50s early 60s for over 2 years.
Basically he was her sugar daddy.
They got looks like crazy, but they had just the chemistry.
Now she is with another sugar daddy, he's in his 40s.
This is in NYC.

I think it has a lot to do with perspective. I've met some 40ish men who still act like they were 25, and the same cane be said of women. If they have common goals then it could be ok, but they should consider what happens "down the road."

For me, I was 42 when I got divorced and I had two late teens kids. I had no desire to "start a new family" so women who had young kids or wanted them were off my list. I wanted someone who was looking for a similar future that I was.

As long as people see eye to eye and are realistic and not so "in the moment" then age differences can be a non-issue, or a huge stumbling block.
