Hopefully the weather will hold up. I've only been rained on twice, both times between Waco and Ft Worth.

That sucked so much.

We spent all day cleaning three cars and they looked like crap by the time we got there.

is there a carwash near the raceway?...I'm sure the T-Bat will have a load of road grime after all that motoring...maybe we need to meet up at said carwash so we can all go in lookin slick lol ...seen on the weather where you guys have been getting buckets of rain lately...I know when I went to Texas almost 20 years ago, I ran through a thundershower on the way to Ft Hood...I had to pull off cuz the wipers were having no effect...never seen it rain that hard before...ever eek

If all goes as planned, I'll be heading out fairly early so I'm sure once I get to Ft Worth we'll have plenty of time to get everything cleaned up.

I think the decision will be do we clean them up before we eat or after. crazy

I'll see what I can get together and I'll check around to see if anything is going on that weekend around the DFW area.

I know there is a hotel right across the highway from the track, I stayed there when I drove the race cars around the track.
All hotels have smoking/non-smoking rooms, so I don't think that'll be an issue for you. I'm not even sure you can get a smoking room any more.

thats definitley not the case here is "tobacco country"...my son-in-law is in management for a local hotel chain and he tells me often of what a thorn in his side it is...business travel swallows up all the non-smoking floors and as a result they turn away many walk-ins because smoking floors are all that is left. He said they are working on a machine that can be put into the room and left for an hour or two to neutralize any odors...he said just dont stand next to it when its running, you can feel your ears popping lol

Looks like the price went up. It's now $30.
It also looks like they do clubs from 5pm-7pm and open to the public from 7pm-10pm. I think I'd rather drive around it at night. Driving under the lights just gives it that special touch.
Laps for Charity

I should be there, I'm still trying to decide if they will let me in, me not being 21 and whatnot...so it's like 50/50 for me right now.

No need to worry, they'll let you in with no problem as long as you sign the waiver.
Will they sell you a ticket to drive is the question.

laugh
