Got the new car today..wow I am in love. The details: '99 GTP, every option leather, moonroof, cd, HUD ect..I love it. So much more power than the GT. Got a good deal on it and I like it alot more. Will get better pics soon

I've even thought about getting another GP for my "toy"...just wish they had made a droptop (or even a targa or T roof)...glad you found another ride you like even better...and dont forget hammer hammer hammer (maybe not quite as much cuz of gas prices)

James, I noticed you had a PONTIAC windshield banner across the windshield of your old car...Did you install this yourself? I just recieved mine from SignsByDrex, and it says they highly recommend a professional install. Are there any secrets to installing it right?

i just installed mine..I must warn you I bought 2 just in case. My first atempt went well, except it wasnt centered and there was a crease in the N. As a result the first heavy rain resulted in the "N" flyin off...I was left drivin a POTIAC...
I removed the entire banner and started again.
If you have a additive applied to the windshield like "rain away" good chance the banner wont adhere.I will look like its stuck on..but it isnt.. You need to remove any grime, wax..etc.
I reccommend the soap/water as indicated on the install instructions.
Be generous with the soapy water...
Oh Ya...I also reccommend you wait till a hot day..and leave the banner out and maybe under heavy books overnight to smooth it out.
When you squeegee the banner take care not to tear or apply to much pressure.
once you are satisfied, I would leave it for like an hour...or more. Most say minimum of 15 minutes..
When you remove the top paper..pull with constant pressure at an angle..watch for edges of letters and corners.they are prone to lifting...
Then DONT WASH for a few days..
Thats about all I can tell you..I certainly wasnt gonna pay a guy $40.00 to apply a $10.00 banner....

Its not easy. I have bought 4 banners, 3 from ebay, 1 Signs by Drex. The Drex one is by far the best, comes in 2 parts. It is difficult to apply and the white banner I have on the GT has some mistakes in it. Like the O has a wrinkle, and its crooked, but I figured i would just keep it on till I get my new banner. My advice, get the banner lined up nice, put tape down so you know its centered when you apply it, because once you get it on, theres no taking it off to reposition it. Don't put anything on the windsheild as it wont stick than. Think thats all I can help.

Have fun modding the new GTP! But I'm curious; what are you going to do with the GT?

The GT is still waiting to be picked up. Have it stripped down alot right now, dont know what else to take off of it. Still getting used to the GTP too, feel spoiled driving it

Did you take all the mods off the GT to save for the GTP? I would, so I wouldn't have to buy them all over again, unless you don't have the original parts to make up for it .. And you could probably attempt selling that DHP over at ClubGP; I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard. laugh
