I scored tickets to see my favorite comic Bill Cosby for Saturday night's show. He is one of the few people worth driving 6 hrs each way as well as hotel and ticket prices. We are staying downtown and am looking for a nice family restaurant to eat supper. Spagetti Works looks promising as well as Judge Roy Beans. Please chime in if you have opinions either way

Chances are 72Chevman I'll be within 30-40 minutes of where you'll be at. I would LOVE to see the cosby show but I got plans for saturday already and never got any tickets and have a soccer match tournament. For some spaghetti the Olive garden would work well and theres plenty of other options. But anyhow its neat to know i'll be near someone from the forums im just ashamed i can't go:( (I'm a pretty big bill cosby fan as it is).

there is lots of good restrants...
depends on what u like
try
texas roadhouse
pf changs
cheese cake factory
idk just depends on what your looking to eat / or if you want to do some shopping or anything

WHAT U HAVE NEVER EATEN THERE the best steak and ribs and bbq, extreamly good rolls they are so good ... umm!!!!! so good sounding

All of these places are chains, can probably find something a little more unique in Des Moines.

I should have been more specific. I like to eat at local flavor when we travel. We have all the normal chain stuff here. Wichita is in the top 5 Cities in the US for restaurants per person. Texas Roadhouse does have the best dry ribs. The problem is that I am full from their Hot Rolls with sweet butter, the big Beers are great too.
IMO PF Changs and Cheesecake Factory are over priced chick restaurants.

Thanks for the advice guys, we ate at Spagetti Works, which was nice then laughed our butts off at the show. My jaw and stomach hurt for an hour after the show. In 800 miles the GP averaged almost 27MPG at 72MPH with A/C on 50% of the time. I now wish I still had the stock twisted rims, as my pretty polished aluminum ones have less positive offset, so just over 1" of tire is visible from the front killinh aerodynamics.
