I'd love to go, I'll be on summer break then so I don't see time being an issue. I'd love to have it painted by then but I don't see that happening. Should have just about everything but paint done at that time.
It's an 8 hour drive there but I could make a trip out of it.
I'd love to see your GP in person Tim, ours would look very similar and would make for a very nice photoshoot!

I'm leaving now just to get there in time!! J/K 902.55 miles!!! However, that would be sweet. I would love to take the GP on a road trip. I really am considering this, given if work will give me vacation off during that time. How far would I have to go? Website: http://www.carlisleevents.com/ce/events/gm-nationals/

if I were to go, it would be a 2 week jaunt. It takes that long for conventional Army to leave theatre. Then there's the 24 hour flight to BWI. Then the flight to Nashville to pick up my car, then the drive from TN to Carlisle.

Rick if you make it to the event under those circumstances you deserve some kind of "most dedicated to make it" award! I realize the distance may be daunting for some. I know how it was when I made the trip to Texas for Laps for Charity. 8-10hrs driving time for two days each way. The stop over in Kentucky on the way down to meet up with Don and Rook really helped break up the trip but the long haul with one layover on the way home was pretty tough. Great memories and an awesome experience tho, hoping to do it again one year. Carlisle is about a 4hr jaunt for me, but either reserve your hotels in advance or plan on staying in one of the neighboring towns. I've yet to be able to land a room in Carlisle itself, I think those people book a year in advance!
