today i got my supercharger form 20gtp02 decided to take it apart and wow does the oil stink, i think he said it was changed not to long ago but woo... stinky lol otherwise i took it all apart and hopefuly i will be sending it to chico soon depending on when i can gather up the cash for it, also what is the best way to get the neadle bearings out so i can get those taken out and new ones put in sometime.

I saw a post on clubgp somewhere. I think Jason Farnsworth made it and the pics. He took a bolt and drilled a hole in it. And threaded that bolt up some channel and pumped grease through it and then it popped the bearings out. I'll have to try and find the link.

Yep, he tapped the holes under them for the bolt. Then he drilled the bolt down the center and put a grease fitting in the top. Then you just apply grease with a grease gun and the hydraulic pressure pops them out.

o boy yay lots of work ahead of me ... does it matter what grade of bolt i use ... i guess the smaller the grade the easyer to drill

but it didnt say anythng about grade o well i just got home from lowes and i got the parts listed so hopefuly i will be able to get those out soon well i have to get a tap first hopefuly i can find someone close to me so i can use it

I think so. Cause I wouldn't want to mess with any of the other holes.

ahh i wish there was a diffrent way to take the out because useing a tap causes metal filings to go into the supercharger and thats not something i want floaten around when its all back togeather

just use compressed air, they blow right out with a quick sudden burst if you hold a rag around the hole. ive seen it done at zzp

I've sprayed mine down with all kinds of crap, Shavings, paint, you name it. With the bearings in place. You should be fine. If I were you, I would put in new bearings after you have it ported though so they don't get messed up and you'll be doing them twice!

yeah i talked to chico and i wanted to take the bearings out and clean up the housing as much as poss before i send it out i dont want to send chico a oily mess --- got a little messy when i took the snout off what do you mean hold a rag around the hole ?? please explain it better so i can do it asap tomarow
