Not sure if I should put this here, but just joined up and wanted to say hello, I am new to the Grand Prix, I just bought a 2003 Grand Prix SE with the growling little 3.1 liter V6, and I must say, I love it! Hope enjoy the site and my car, I just got out of a 1992 Acura Integra GS, and being used to a smaller car, I must say, will take me a bit to get used to the new, bigger car, but I love the way it drives, and hope I can get some great tips and tricks from the site

Oh, and I admit, the White paint and the wheels took a bit to grow on me, I now like the car even more, lol.

Oh, I'm sure you'll get plenty of tips from us. However, if you start copying me, your SE won't have a 3100 for very long.
Welcome Aboard!

Welcome to the site! Glad to hear you moved away from the import... :p I think you'll love your GP. It's my first car, had it for a little over a year, and there is a VERY small list of cars I would trade it for.

Thank you for the warm welcome all, and I have to say, yes, as soon as I can afford it, the wheels will be going, though they have grown on me. And the exhaust, I was thinking of replacing that, and as soon as I have the cash I am, because the car sounds ok stock, but I want a bit more sound. I do plan to get the K&N intake or something like it for abit better breathing on the intake side. A 3.8 swap would be nice, but I be broke, and I like the gas millage I currently get, not to mention, my friend Amos' modded 1992 Integra, he though he was doing well keeping me at bay on a 32 mile drive back from a friend's house, but, I could have passed him if I had known where I was, lol.

Oh, I am enjoying it alot, even with only the 3.1 litre engine. It reminds me why the Europeans don't like our engines though. The rough estimates of about 175HP and 195 Ft.Ibs of torque seems weak to them, but you know, they just don't get it. I know the 3.8 is an amazing engine, but I like this 3.1, and I am supprised by what it can do stock, but I plan to improve it through mods that make sense, like better breathing and stuff like that. Oh, and I will say, I am sooo damn glad I don't have the ricer exhausts to worry about now, I can buy and honest to god exhaust, lol.

Update, went to Texas from Checotah Oklahoma and back, 370+ mile round trip, used a hair over half a tank, and put nearly another 200 miles on the car before refueling.

Finally other SE model That's really great that you got lot of miles on road trip in one tank of gas. Some of them own SE that couldn't handle power like 01 GT or Rook. I don't mind my slow engine. I only want keep it for gas mileage reason. Enjoy your car. Maybe you could do like mine. Yes, this sig is really from SE model. *edit* I noticed Hercman say one word "cool". I think he is afraid that I will beat him during gas mileage road trip. Remember our talk last month?
