ok the thing thats under my hood can u jsut take it off completely....it looks bad with it flappin gthe wind lol any way u can fix it ?

u mean the thing on the underside of the hood? If so that can be removed, I havent seen mine since the day I bought my car, Keep in mind tho that underneath it will be REALLY dirty, im in the porcess of cleaning/painting the underside of my hood so I can add something I'll reveal in a couple weeks

none of the aftermarket hoods come with them. youre good to get rid of it

I agree. I have F1 hood. I don't have black thing under it. I don't think they are worth to keep it. I haven't seen what is under stock hood. I'm sure it looks better without it.

Isn't that thing used to keep heat from effecting paint? I'm not 100% sure exactly what its used for...im thinking of removing mine it looks bad.

It's main purpose is to limit the amount of noise emmitted from the engine compartment. There are plenty of GPs running around with out it and no one has complained of heat damage. The hood doesn't get that hot.

Then i shall take it off...

Looks like I'm taking that thing off!. Mine was hanging because it's so old. But I'm putting a tarp over my engine because I just cleaned it!

Think ill do the same, I could always use some more noise

my paint on my hood got really bad after i took mine off.. i went ahead and put it back on, but i fixed my coolant leak so i shouldn't have any more heat problems...
