I know what you mean. This GTP thing is really fast. I drove GTP once from used car dealership. But sound like your Michigan area police is very strict like ticket you over 5 mph on you few times.

it's really a hit or miss thing and depends where you live and how the cop feels

example 1: been pulled over (and given 75 dollar ticket) for going over yellow lines too early getting into left turn lane (still my only ticket, knock on wood)

example 2: midnight, driving on 294 towards kenosha when I was still going to college, doing 85 in a 55 in my firebird, I was the only car on the road, passed by a cop, and he never moved

doesn't seem right, If i got pulled over for 30 over I would have no one to blame but myself, and would have accepted the ticket...but when I get a ticket for doing something COPS FROM THE SAME DEPARTMENT DO ALL THE TIME it upsets me


I totally agree with everyone to never speed in residential areas, too many kids around and neighbors always assume the worst when the car is loud and/or fast

Just slow it down boosten. I was in the same situation as you far as getting speeding tickets all the time but I know where all the speed traps and cops sit since I use to get pulled over all the time. I have not gotten a ticket since november of 2007 and it just that Im tired of getting tickets and my insurance was killing me so I just don't speed in residential areas at all and I will speed a little bit if I know the area but overall Im always 5mph under the speed limit just so I can cover myself because police are crooked where I live.

That's stink. What can you do about that? You said speed never go away from you. It doesn't still solve everything. You pay more tickets and get more points. Also, more insurance charge. Hopefully, you realize it is time to stop before it is getting worse.

move to iowa, you'll probably start to drive safer/slower. I know my driving has gotten a lot better here.

Boosten, do you use a [good] radar detector? I speed all the time (commute an hour each way most days, from the far suburbs to downtown) and have never gotten a speeding ticket. Cops are pretty bad around the suburbs too. Downtown you can speed all you want, haha.

Cops have been all over lately, at least over by me. I think they're getting ready to lay off 180 State cops.

I was in Jackson visiting my sister one time and I was going 46 in a 35..(which i wasn't aware of the speed limit) I even saw the cop, I didn't even slow down. The cop of course pulls me over, and writes me up for 5 over. I didn't see a speed limit sign...as soon as I get back on the road I see the speed limit sign. I'm not from Jackson and told the cop that, he didn't care. A couple days later my parents went the same way to my sister's and saw the first speed limit sign laying on the ground...it's no wonder I didn't know what the speed limit was. I'm usually really careful about that kind of stuff.

Everyone has used the "he wrote me up for 5 miles over". You know very well that you were not going 5 over.

Be smarter about when and where you speed. Don't do it in areas where people can call you in.

That or buy a brown Grand Prix haha you have no idea how much I get away with. No one suspects the brown grand prix to blow the doors off a sleeping statey nah never it was that honda or that stang who was obeying the speed limit hahaha ya its happened.
