A couple of years ago it was all about the early european models, but it seems now crazy money will go to a car that is a reproduction/clone muscle car. I think it was last year when they saw the first reproduction non matching numbers muscle car go for way more than a stock numbers matching real muscle car. I think they were both some kind of a Mopar.

My brother and his son flew out to the auction on Thursday; I told them if they saw a car I liked, just buy it, and I'll write them a check... Actually, their main focus is on the vendor's section, but I'm sure they'll be coming home with empty wallets, and stories to tell.

Its seriouly crazy that people would spend that king of money on a car, you are better off buying a POS one and having a place restore it. It would cost you less. There are time the guy puts 20K into it and it seels that the autions for 50+

There is a good number of folks that don't recoup their resto money i.e., cost $100k but sold for $60k.
I like the show as I learn a lot about car history of the cars and the technology.

I like the show as I learn a lot about car history of the cars and the technology. In many ways, I think "flipping" a car is like "flipping" a house (If you've seen those house shows on TV before). You need to have a budget and do your research ahead of time if you plan on making a profit. You need to know how much you are gonna get out of it at the end. Most of all, you gotta have fun restoring it.

Gotta find the right car that you can fix up with just the right amount of money to turn a profit (if profit is what you want).

Winning bid was $5 mil, with buyers fee of 10% = $5.5 mil.
It was Carol Shelby's Cobra. The only one of two in existance with S/C, oem. The other car was destroyed, not sure how. THE original "Super Snake" Cobra.
