So id been looking around a little bit at cars cause i wanted something newer with fewer miles... i wanted either an impala ls, or another grand prix... well i found an ls that i really liked, except its not an impala... its a lincoln... oh man is this a nice car... its a 2001 lincoln ls premium sport with the 3.9 litre V8 pushin 252 horsepower... i bought it from a older man who stored it during the winters so there is absolutely no rust what so ever.. the undercariage is clean as a whistle.. i got a dvd player installed yesterday... man this thing is sweet... now i just got to decide what im gonna do with the grand prix... i think im gonna keep it and use that as a DD, while using the lincoln for fun... i also think im gonna keep storing the lincoln and drive the grand prix during the winter... check it out...

what do you guys think??

Looks nice!
Although I'm not a ford guy, I've always thought the LS was a good looking car.
I'm glad you got the V8 instead of the V6.

I think you probably paid too much. A V8 with less horsies that an L32? I bet I know why it isn't the DD. Also, how many mods exist for that 3.9? If you're going to make it the toy, they had better be reasonable, otherwise what is the purpose?

Engine bay looks like a PITA to work in. Nice car, but at what cost (more than finacially)?

Looks clean.

Not a fan of Lincolns either but it looks like it will last for you.

not a fan of lincolns but I've always liked the LS. Sharp looking car. I dont think its a toy car, but then most people dont think grand prixs are that special either. Hope it treats you well.

The LS looks really good with chrome wheels. You have any plans for new wheels?

Or store you grand prix in the storage and use the lincoln ls as your daily driver, now thats even better.

lol

I never had a taste for them but i know someone that bought a 2005 with the v8 and its been pretty reliable for her and I like the style of it.

I can't believe the moderators are actually using the "f-word"..... wink
Sharp car, but I've got a lot of GM in my blood.

thanks for the compliments guys... ive really never liked ford either, but the price was right and couldnt resist... i bought it from a guy my dad knows and gave me a heck of a deal... i dont plan on modding either cars, but the possibility is there... i have alot of driving this semester with school, and want to keep the miles on the lincoln low, so ill only drive it when i feel like riding in luxury lol... the grand prix has to many miles for me to do any modding on it, plus its starting to get a rust spot and all i can do is slow it down, but its not stopping... also, i do still love the grand prix and would have a hard time parting with it so i want to keep it...

for about the same price, and gain in horsepower, (about $1500, and 50 or so ponies), i can do the same to the lincoln with just bolt on parts... i may do these, but before i think about it im gonna wait until i build up my savings account again... thanks again for the compliments guys!

x2 my boss had the V6 and it just seemed like somthing is missing. They are awesome cars, little short on leg room for me but still comfy.

Good buy!

yea I am with just about everyone else here, not a fan of Ford Products at all but Lincoln LS's are alright, I would rather have a CTS Sport with a 6-speed manual.
