Its been warmer then usual in ontario sitting at about 30...should my car be getting that warm or do i have a head issue frown

does temp gauge read normal at highway speed? might help to mention F temps as well as C temps.

90C is nothing to be concerned with in the summer time. 90C = 194F which is in the ball park for a stock Tstat.

Not knowing where in the Frozen North you are, I can't REALLY say for sure, but I'm more than certain that your ambient temperatures are lower than 90*F with pretty low humidity. I'd see about MAYBE getting the system flushed and serviced. Otherwise, get a cooler tstat and retune the pcm to kick the fans over earlier

Rick you do realize that 90C is equal to 194F. Which is well within the parameters of a stock Tstat.

yeah, I read your conversion above, but if he's still concerned about higher temps, I'd suggest that he run a colder tstat.

Sounds about right...if it was running cooler before I would wonder if the old thermostat was sticking slightly or someone had put a cooler one in. I wouldn't be too concerned about it unless it starts getting higher.

Never know. Old one could have been stuck open. If the temp starts jumping around erratically going real hot and then cooling off make sure the fluid is topped off and burp the system. An air pocket will cause the temps to go crazy.

true. I submit my misadventures with the Camaro as evidence to that claim, Herc.

you guys are amazing thanks a bunch...i seriously dont know F coversion for C or i would have put it in...it runs normal on highway its just when i get behind people or im idling that its gets a bit warm before we put the thermostat on it was getting real warm like in the 125 C range now that we got the new thermostat and water pump she seems to be running lower temps around the 90 mark but still warmer then last year so im thinkin the previous owner had a cooler one on it. Being a woman its hard to come up with possible ideas and what to look for without getting screwed at a shop cause i am a woman and they take advantage of that lol too bad im a smart woman and came here for some very helpful advice smile i am mainly worried that its a head cause my temps were still running a little on the warm side...im in ontario the temp here has been low 30s with high humidity so that could play a role as well lol ahhhh i just dont know lol

If it stays around 90-100 it's perfectly fine. If it bothers you you can put in a cooler thermostat. Remember the fans don't come on until about 91 or so.
