U-Bend delete on a stock exhaust with no mufflers sounds pretty good in my opinion. That was on a GTP though but I doubt it would sound much different on a GT.

No U-Bend and no mufflers too. If you wanted to go with a DP too I'm thinking it would just be a deeper tone but without mufflers a DP could change the tone a lot.

Try this, should work out to all uner 450 bucks or so. Maybe less
Power Log, 2.5in Downpipe, and either some new kind of muffs, or no mufflers at all, or stock ones.

Or headers, theres too many ways to take it, but i personally wouldn't not buy a full exhaust setup for this car, theres alot of components of our exhaust system that are very high flow and dont need replacement.

Straight pipes sounds like CRAP, unless you like loud and obnoxious. Flowmasters are over rated.

Cheap is no resonator with summit turbo mufflers or some sort of resonator with chambered mufflers.

Not so cheap is U-bend delete or DP with above options.

No mufflers may sound cool at idle, but you & your passengers will hate the noise. Johnny law will hear you a mile away. Don't plan on sneaking in the driveway late, or dropping off your girl late either.

I also have a question about this topic. I have a friend who would do a custom stainless 3in exhaust cat-back no res to a 2.25 or 2.5 split for the flow40's. Now I was wondering since he wouldnt mind doing the dp 3in as well custom. I know the whole myth of loss in backpressure blah blah blah anyways I need an honest response just how much flow does the stock cat stop? I could get a hiflow or just run straight pipes but I was jw. I know that not having a cat is a federal offense etc

right now I have dual stainless tips on each flow40, however He has some very nice very wide in diameter 5in i think stainless tips cut at an angle that look absolutly beastly.

I can't wait to get a downpipe and new muffs when I get the chance I bet with a power log it'll sound really nice.

I wouldn't run no cat, just do a hi-flow cat.

The gain is something like 5 hp between a hi flow cat and no cat. Not worth the large fine you would get if you got caught and if you have emissions testing you will guaranteed fail.
