if it wasnt the cat could it be the fuel pressure regulator, or is that a different situation?

possible. starve the engine...yeah, I'd say it's totally possible. Or pump or filter. have you solved the spark issue yet or are you still throwing the random misfire codes?

Ya the plugs are fine, im getting correct spark and i ohm tested the coils, they are running right, so i guess im down to either the fuel pump, considering i changed the filter already, or the cats, one thing i noticed when i pulled the filter, as i do like to cut them open is that the filter seemed to disintegrate, im wondering if possible its a clogged injector?

very possible. good luck finding the injector responsible, but at least you only have 6 to dig around in.

On the schrader valve. Use a screwdriver or something.

It's not going to lose much, just hold a towel over the top, and it will soak up the small amount that comes out.

You can check to see if you are getting pressure at the regulator. I don't remember the exact specs of what to look for in a number, but I'm sure you could search to see what the normal pressure at the rail should be. I doubt your regulator is giving you problems.

Hey guys, after an extensive amount of work, turns out it was the Cat, i didnt look at it the right way and the thing is pretty much sealed shut, so im getting some headers, a highflow cat, and the slp exhaust, and we'll be all good, thanks for the help though
