or just those that know.

just wanting to double check that i am not overdoing things in a way that will hurt anything.

1 i just put it about a week ago a 9" k&n cone and have made most of the cold air box for it. (need to make a lid although just the box helpes a ton) and am looking at getting a hogans dp and u bend delete (will have the delete done when the dp goes on) and wanted to make sure that with no other mods this would be ok. (at 125 and free shipping sounds good to me)

2 could you take off the sc belt and run the car na? i am thinking not due to impeller constrictions not letting air in. (just food for thought/bored)

3 do you have to go to copper plugs or as long ans kr stays down your ok or do they sell cooler iridium plugs?

4 when i have the dp and ubend taken out should i have the res. taken out and replaced w a glasspack? is there any real beifit to doing so? other than a little louder exhaust?

and yes i will add pics to this post very soon.
and the sc wine is kinda cool btw. thats all for now. will think of more later. thanks guys.

1.yes
2.yes
3.copper are cooler than iridiums
4.the exhaust isn't that restrictive. Your manifolds will be more restrictive than your resonator.

thanks for the reply umfan.

on question 2 is the yes meaning that it can be done or that i am right in that it cant?

i figured the manifolds would be more restrictive than the resonator i was just wondering if while they where under there if it would be worth haveing it pulled off and replaced as i dont think that they would charge me any extra being that they are there (when i had my cat replaced on my truck they didnt charge any more to pop off the muff and stick in a glasspack.)

thanks again. other replys are welcome also.

also before i forget again is the stock cat that restrictive? i know for the mods that i have i dont need a differnt one just wondering on that also (as to being the next choke point after the manifolds.)

I concur with UMFan.....

You can run the car without the SC belt, but why modify your car? Why not trade it in on something that doesn't have a Super Charger?

Iridium plugs come in cooler stages, but they still won't dissipate the heat as well as a copper plug that is equally rated...... If you aren't looking to get 110% out of your car, stick with Platinums, or Iridiums.

I also heard you can drive without the supercharger but then you'll have the GT model horsepower from what I was told.

No you would have lower HP because the GT has a higher compression ratio,as far as the exhaust question yes your exhaust mnfls. are the next major restriction.Chico.

GTP without the belt is like driving the SE.

I drove mine for a week without the belt for trouble shooting purposes.

Now that's driving a granny car.

Nope, it's a trade off you have to make with the plugs. You can't have the best of both worlds.

A GTP w/out a SC belt is going to feel like a dog. In additon to the lower compression, the 2.93 gears (compared to the 3.29's in the GT) will make it slower than the GT as well. And don't run anything but a copper plug.

If you are just gonna take the belt off of the S/C, then just give it to me!

Jimmy C's work is A+. He lives not too far from me, and i've got one of his DP's on my car. Quality stuff, and you can't go wrong buying off him.
