I ran across these while surfing eBay...I like the look but I wonder if the nit-picky cops will whack me for tinted light even though the ad says OEM standard (but not DOT approved)

headlights

I guess I'm just not completely sold on the projectors, especially since I've already replaced my fogs once and they work very well...almost seems senseless to swap them out again just because they arent halos.

Umm can you make them a little bit darker? I think people still might be able to see some light coming out.

Headlights are made to make light so Fail.

If your state requires a yearly inspection, I don't see how those would pass.

Like herc said, just get covers.
The carbin fiber covers aren't as dark as mine and have close to the same appearance as those.

And MD does have a "safety" inspection.

Unfortunately covers in the state of VA are illegal thats why I was thinking these but the more I look the more I see them getting me pulled over...scratch that idea.

No one seems to sell the black headlight capsules by themselves...I already have the black corners and I dont want to have to buy them twice.

Buy a headlight set and sell one of your extra set of corners.

Honestly, I think your headlight look nice on your sig but that's up to you. Some people say it is hard to see the light because it doesn't have chrome like "mirror" to see bettter.

The black headlights do still have a chrome or mirror reflector dish behind the bulb but I'm sure there has to be some loss of brightness...then again if I installed HIDs in the black housing I dont think the loss would be at all noticeable...but by that time you could have bought a set of projectors kooky

Then again, if they are offering HID kits in conjuction with projector lights they must still throw pretty strong beam. I have never seen a set of projectors in person on at night...but I do remember seeing Kevs car at TMS with his HIDs and he could have gotten some side work doing flood light crime scene work for local law enforcement...them suckers were crazy bright eek

Hey tbat, there is a guy where I live with a eclipse with black headlights and he has HID's and he has never been pulled over for it. I've seen plenty of black headlights here in northern virginia. I don't know about the side you live at but I think you shouldn't have any problems whether you have the halogen lights or the HID's lights.

Except for when he has to get his car inspected, but I guess he could just swap the old ones in to get that done.
