To add to my wierd electrical issues....

When I turn on my blower to whatever speed, it doesnt come on until about 10 minutes later... Would this be the resistor going out? or could it be an issue with the blower motor itself?

I believe the last setting (highest) is not using a resistor, so if even on HIGH if it still does that, there is something else going on, possible motor issues.

I know climate controlled cars that happens, it won't turn the fan on until the right temp is achieved.

the last setting it waits a second before coming on, and it draws allot of power when it does click on (hear the engine straighn and the RPM's go down)

Nope, just the vent... A/C system leaks so the compressor doesnt click on...

Okay, so I found out some things...

When I turn on my blower motor on, it makes my headlights shut off... I also sometimes have no sound coming out of the radio, I have to turn off the car and turn it back on to get it to work.

I was talking with Rick and we were thinking either the BCM or Ignition switch.

Any help would be great, this is really starting to pee my off!

Sounds like you need an ignition switch Not sure if this will fix your problem with the radio, but you have to start somewhere... hammer

Agreed, my friend's 97 just had this same problem. Sometimes turning on the blower would take out his DIC and his headlights.

Instead of spending $250 on a new ignition switch, took it apart and alot of the leads had a black film over them. Cleaned it up, put it back together and it worked like new. Their are alot of little parts and it took a few tries to get it back together correctly, but it saved him $250 plus $100 labour.

When I replace the switch, does it use the same key?

Yes, because you'll only be cleaning/replacing the electrical part of the switch, not the key and cylinder.

Okay, thanks! I will do that this weekend and post an update to the issue. I really hope this solves it. A new switch is only $99 so, I'll just replace it and get it over with.
