My car, when it was stock, still just dominated it. Those cars are over-rated for sure. The turbo lag is what made it loose so bad. That is why you supercharge cars and not turbo them. So I'm with you acefighter...haha

So I'm with you acefighter...haha [/b]I beg to differ. They are pretty fast stock. The turbo lag kills them, although it kicks hard when it spools up. The launch for turbos is key. If you mess up the launch, it's over.

Yeah I'm sure, its the hatchback version of it. He has it tuned by a tuner called COBB, and it has some stuff done to it. I thought it would dominate me until I raced it.

i have a friend with a legacy gt ... its the same drivetrain as a wrx.... those things are crazy .... at the line you load up at 3000 to get the turbo ready... and as soon as you drop it you are gone ... he was running in the high 12's and that is at a daily driver...

Not trying to call you out Kev but those WRX's are FAST as a mug. I believe they run mid-13's stock. I raced one that had a boost controller an intake, catback, and a few other things, he was pushing 24 psi and he smoked me. It wasnt even a race.

Depends on how you race a WRX. They're AWD. From a roll, you can smoke 'em cause the drivetrain slows them down. From a stop, that AWD launches like mofo, and that's mainly why they're so fast in the 1/4.

yes awd really helps them ... they just lock up... we dont even bother trying to warm up the tires and all they do is give a slight bark... and then its gone.... legacys and wrx's are great cars ... right from the factory lots of power...

It also depends on the driver. Like I said, in my race, I feel certain the other guy had a faster car, because of how quickly he started gaining on me, but he never did get in front of me.

OK to clarify this, I was racing an '05 wrx, not the new ones, which I believe are a little faster. Its an automatic too. But these were his mods: Chip, D/P w/ h/f cat, and 3" cat-back. I had at least a full car length on him at about 100 and he was slowly gaining on me, but thats it. As far as the Legacy GT, my same friends mom has one (they are subaru freaks, and its a Legacy GT Spec B) and he took it out to race it one day, and I was at his bumper at about 100 and he was slowly creeping away. That was with the throttle pretty much on the floor with the brake on the floor to keep it still so he could get the best launch with the automatic. The legacy also had a D/P so it wasn't stock, and my car had only an intake essentially. I dunno what the numbers are on those cars, but thats what happened guys. Way to be proud of your cars.
