Ebay HID\'s

A complete set of HID's for under $200, shipped.
He's also got a couple of the High/Low HID kits also, I think they're under or right at $300, shipped.
I've been reading most of his feedback and it seems pretty good. I might have to get a set with the next extra $200 I get, maybe.

Thoughts...?

I wonder how much the replacement bulbs are?

I wonder if you could start a topic of interest and inquire with the seller as to whether you could "test" a kit showing them the interest we have. If you are happy, you can pay them for the product, and promote it here. If you are unhappy, return it with no sale......

Just thinking out loud..... I know we would all like to have Headlights that actually work well.

I just sent an email to one of his buyers from April. I asked how they were holding up and if they were what he expected, and if he would recommend them.
I'll post his reply.

I think they would look sweet. If I had the dough I would get the High/Low kit. Do you think they would be too hot for the headlight assembly though? I've heard that could happen with HID kits.

I personall really like the look of HID's. If I had the extra $$$ I would be interested in them. Great illumination for you, and they look really cool on the outside as well. thumbsup

Here's the response I got...

"i bought the 10k hids from this guy. they're still holding up but i must admit they're not the best quality. its a non-name chinese brand and even though 10k is supposed to be a crystal-blue, it looks more like 8k white. sometimes my right headlight fails to start when i initially turn it on. what i do is turn it off and on again, and it turns on. and also watch out. putting hid's in any halogen headlamp will cause alot of glare. i had to make a shield in the front and around the bulb to make it not blinding on everyone. but this also reduced the light output. alright. hope this helps. bye."

I still might buy a set.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to pass on that one. Good job on the research though.

Due to other issues, I've decided against them.

sorry to drum up a old post, but I'm new here and i gotta show yall this mod I did, its a real HID projector conversion, donor car was a 05 Acura TSX, and it looks mouth watering. iuse stock philips d2s bulb, to all the kit owners out there stick with stock 4100k bulbs, the higher the kelvin rating the lower the output in USEABLE light is- my GP LOOKs exactly like a lexus/mercedes coming at you- you cannot tell the difference. hers a few pic- total hours to build is about 10, it was my fist coonversion. I did buy new headlamp housing off ebay and clear corners, that way it all looked new and I wuldnt be qwithout the car for 10 hrs or so.
