hum...quick question

i got a quick little question.... when i shift from r to d my tranny does a lil clunk...it not harsh its jsut a lil clunk...its done that since the purchase of it? bad good or normal?

if you can feel the engine rocking,it might be engine mounts.

If you just hear the clunk but the engine doesn't shift then its prolly the cv joints shifting, they have a little play.

I wouldn't worry about it if your tranny is not doing something weird.

ok how can i check for CV join play? and the motor mount play? IM dumb idk these things....i knwo the a basics

Does it do it at a dead stop, or are you still rolling backward which you shift into drive? If it does in when you are still rolling backward, that's why.
