Wouldn't a 3200 RPM stall converter be detrimental for my daily driving?
3200 RPM is a lot of RPMs to get off a stop sign.

I don't know about you, but I don't brake-stand when I'm coming off a stop sign.

Ok guys. This is it. I told Stattama that my final order was the base turbo kit with a boost controller. I told them to cancel my downpipe order (turbo kit comes with one) as well as my Powerlog. And with the extra money from getting a cheaper turbo and canceling the P-log, I'm going to get a turbo intercooler. They didn't have a price on their turbo IC except for the one for blocked off M90s but I estimated around $1000 like the CarTuning turbo IC. I told them that if the new order exceeded the $4100 I had already spent that they should e-mail me again. But if it was under $4100, that was my final order. SO! We wait til tomorrow. Edit: Matt e-mailed me. Said he would get right on workin on the kit He said the turbo IC was about $1000 and the one with a BOV runs $1100. I'm going to give them the extra $100 for the BOV system. *glee*

Man, get a intercooler somewhere else or off of a factory turbo car. It will be just as affective without raping your wallet. BTW, never run a turbo without an intercooler.

I don't mind paying $1000 for an IC.
I know it's brand new, I know it's going to fit perfectly. And above all else, I know that it's a quality product.
I know I'll be getting $1000 worth of intercooler if that's what they are asking.
Oh, I have a question. I don't know if this can be done but can you paint a turbo?
I'm painting my calipers black so they don't stand out much behind my rims. They'll look good if you're looking but unless you are trying to see the paint, it will look stock.
My engine cover is going to be black too. However, I'm going to see if I can put Dr. Tran's head on it screaming "Oh No!"
If you don't know Dr. Tran, youtube it. It's a little on the naughty side (a few swears and sexual refrences) but still funny.

You can paint the intake portion with high-temp, just cover the inlet and outlet so you don't get the impellers. The exhaust side would benefit more from a professional ceramic coating though.

Can a you use high temp ceramic with a powder coat? There's a powdercoating building out in Kenosha. Somebody who works there drives a 350z so I am most certain they do engine paint jobs. I can't wait until all this stuff comes. I'm even debating picking it up myself. It's like an 8 hour drive from here but my grandparent's live 3 hours away from Wyoming, MI so I may orchestrate a weekend visit Although, once it all ships, I'm sure it will get here quickly so I may not even need to.

Still no word from Matt since he said he'd get everything taken care of.
I'm so excited about all this!
I figure my car will be out of commission for about a week. I can borrow my work van as long as I don't drive anywhere but to and from work.
Wouldn't even try to go anywhere else with it, the alignment is so far off...
Washed my car today. Meguir's car care kit. Sudzed, rinsed, dried, and waxed. Took care of the tires while the wax dried.
Even in the dark it looks gorgeous!
Oh. And I don't know if you guys remember me complaining about really bad tire vibrations during braking but I have once or twice on here. Drove out to a movie with my honey last night and on the ride home, my brakes went from bearable to appauling. I could have passed off for having a BB 572 in my car.
This problem was around earlier and I replaced my front rotors and pads. Helped a little but not much.
Replaced my rear rotors and pads.
Like butter guys. Like a hot knife through butter. I never thought a car could slow down so smoothly.
I should take pics of my old rotors. Looked like golf balls with all the chips in the face.
