My whine never goes away and gets higher/lower in pitch with the RPM's. There is something in the tranny that may cause a whine but I can't remember what it was. I've isolated mine to the belt area and I have a feeling that yours is probably there too just a different pulley making the whine since yours goes away.

whole sat and today i was trying to get the noice to come back but it never did
