Make sure to take pics of the meth install I want to see where you run it through.

Oh and most of all Good luck and don't scrape the coating lol.

Oh and Tim.... no balls haha
Thanks Chris. I have the blanket already, going to put it on before it's on the car like you said to make it easier.

The powdercoat is pretty durable, I've banged them around and nothing yet.

I do have a smaller brake booster from my 89 Grand Prix that will work but I hope I don't have to use it.

I don't have the meth yet, I'll do that when I get the intercooler. Though I'm going to tap the back of my tb adaptor for the nozzle, run the hose down the firewall to the pump near the foglight housing and into the washer bottle in the fenderwell. You won't even see it.

Started to remove it last night. Didn't get a whole lot done but am working on it more today and this weekend.

Here's a pic of what it looked like when s/c'ed. I'll take an after pic once it's all done.

Braces, intake and tb off, PCM, engine mounts and bottles removed, battery out, feed and return lines and most of harness disconnected.

Rails and injectors off.

I am needing some allen head stainless bolts before Brafasco closes for the week so I had to take the blower off while still in the car so I could match them up.

And then I toke a breakfast break lol.

Going back out in a few minutes to do some more. Have the motor out tonight and then start painting.

Little problem that I had not thought about. Changing valve springs without taking the heads off....

I do not want to take the heads off because I don't have new headgaskets. The only other option I know of is a shop around here has a tool where it threads into your spark plug hole and pressurizes the cylinder so the valves don't drop.

Is there any other way of replacing the springs and retainers without taking the heads off?

I just read about taking the cylinder to BDC and putting in cotton rope, tying a knot so it doesn't fall in and then rotating back up to as close to TDC as possible to keep the valves closed.

Anyone done this before?

Sure, but it won't fit yours because you have a stock MAF still. The polished aluminum pipe would be too short.

Well, yesterday was a scary day. Air hose was leaking so my brother had it in the vice to tighten the fitting. The fitting must have been already half broken and bottomed out so that when he tightened it more it sheared right off and shot out. I was about 2 feet from the fitting working on something on the bench and had I not been leaned over the bench rather than standing up the fittings would have hit me somewhere close to my left eye/cheekbone at 120 psi.... there was a loud bang and the rush of air and the fitting wizzed by my head and just over my shoulder. There was bits of teflon tape and metal shards in my hair, that's how close it was hah.

But anyways, after that, I changed my underwear and went back to work.

OH, and I HATE the b***h bolt on the trans....

Hood off

Jacking the motor up

I'd say my pan gasket is leaking a bit...

Where'd it go?

Gotta get a waterpump since mine has play and might as well replace it now.

Hoping to have it done by Thursday now since I need to order some parts.

Is it just me or does that chain link just to the right of the dipstick not look like a happy camper?

How do those little black metal hooks on the motor able to pull that big motor? It's just one little bolt holding it.

Haha, it's a little bent. Same with the link right next to where the oil filler cap would be, it's even worse.
