Whats up guys. Like the title says when i get above 35mph the car starts to shutter/vibrate, then i let off the gas and it stops. I went and had the tires balanced under warranty but they were good. Replaced bad outer tie rods but that didnt solve the problem. Theres no check engine light coming on but it really doesnt feel like a motor/tranny problem. Im thinking cv joints or wheel bearings but I dont just want to throw parts at it. Any ideas? Thanks!

Bearings tend to hum, CV joints clunk in hard turns. Is it speed related or rpm related? Put the car in nueteral and rev it up is the vibration there yes or no?

If you replaced the tie rods, my guess would be the wheel bearings but like Herc said, those tend to Hum when bad. so check the CV joints for clunking, and check for leaking greese around them.

When your bearings get bad they begin to vibrate around those speeds. Mine did for a while. However that happens after the little humming and squealing around turns. They vibrate when they are bad as in 4 studs left all over the place bad hahaha.

Jack the car up and see if you can pull and push the wheel in and out from the bottom.

Is you car modded any?bigger wheels?lowered?
From what your saying its load based,so that would rule out the wheel bearing.
If you get on it from a dead stop does it still not do it till 35mph?Have you checked the motor/trans mounts and trans fluid???

thanks for the quick replys guys, the cv joints dont click when turning hard but there is grease that has flown out from the boot but i cant find a rip or tear in the boot. There is a "grinding" noise that sounds like dry worn out bearings coming from the left wheel so i suspect worn hubs? I have checked the wheel play before and there is a little but not too much, but i havnt checked in awhile. The car is modded with the 3.4 pulley and all the supporting mods, but the wheels size and spings are stock. Shocks are bad too I bet.I want to say I replace the motor mounts when I modded the car but not sure. Duty calls so Ill be out for a week or two so when I get back Ill check it out more. Thanks alot guys!

And the hub is done as well.

Is the leaky CV on the same wheel that the hub is humming on? If so your in luck because to change the CV the hub has to come off.
