I'm in the process of a blower swap on my GTP. Upon removing the fuel rail, two of the front injectors seperated from the fuel rail rather than disconnecting from the head. Now no matter how hard I push I cannot get the injectors to reconnect to the fuel rail. Is there a special way to do this? Thanks

you shouldnt have to push hard lol, they should slide in the fuel rail then the slip slides around them to hold them in place do you have your C clips that hold the inj to the fuel rail??

The fuel injectors are held in with retaining clips: Replacing injector o-rings

there shouldn't be any hard pushing what so ever....just slightly and it will pop in (the o-ring) and then the clip hold it on....not even that tight of a fit

I feel like a fool. Its been a good 5 years since I've actually worked on a car.. With this I completely forgot about the upper o-rings on the injectors. The two injectors that popped off did not have retaining clips on them for some reason. The o-rings were still in the fuel rail. Like I said, I feel like a fool. It finally clicked in my head after a while. I'm good to go now.

Yes I replaced all the o-rings on the head side of the injectors, and I replaced the fuel rail side on the two injectors that seperated from the fuel rail.
